The Catherinettes: A uniquely French custom

Around a hundred young women and men will present the designs they created in all the renowned luxury Maisons on avenue Montaigne and rue François 1er: Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci, Vranken-Pommery, Maison Blanche…

The event is open to the general public, so both Parisians and tourists can enjoy a unique event celebrating fashion and elegance.

Behind the scenes in the Maisons…

The “petites mains” create their hats in the greatest secrecy, each one striving to be the most creative. The event is a humorous, light-hearted and elegant showcase for the sector’s energy and the talented people who work in the ateliers and boutiques.

The Comité Montaigne honours the 30-years-young bachelors, nicknamed the “Nicolas”. The gentlemen also join in the fun by creating unusual, entertaining hats!
